It started out as one space on Spadina Avenue a decade ago, the vision of a small group of intrepid entrepreneurs led by CSI’s co-founder and CEO, Tonya Surman.
Since then:
The Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) has grown to become 3 locations across Toronto and one in New York:
So much more than a space:
Each of the CSI locations is a portal to new opportunities made possible by collaboration and cooperation.
Each one is a launchpad:
Through chance meetings and planned alliances, each brings people together who otherwise may not have found each other.
CSI membership:
CSI members are provided with the tools they need to accelerate their success and amplify their impact.
Why win the brand story award?:
- CSI knows that good stories are about people and they let their story unfold through the successes and learnings of the community
- CSI was a brave idea ahead of its time and has grown into itself becoming greater than the sum of its parts
- Together the community is building a movement of nonprofits, for-profits, entrepreneurs, artists, and activists working across sectors to change the world.
- CSI has launched dozens of success stories as disparate from each other as could be. But it never lost sight of its values and that’s what kept it sustainable and growing.
We are proud to honour The Centre for Social Innovation with the Brand Story Award.
Because besides everything else, they’re just good peeps.
