As we’ve said before, Infographics are a great way to share information. They are visually appealing (most times) and three times more likely to be shared.
And the icing on the infograph cake is that there are a bunch of user friendly infograph generators online and learning how to use them doesn’t take very much time.
Easel.ly is free. Which is great. It’s a WYSIWYG approach to infographic creation that provides a modest selection of infograph themes. (I counted 17.)
It’s easy to use. Just click on theme you want and then select from the categories.
Text and images can be easily adjusted by varying the opacity, color, size, orientation, and placement. You can also upload your own images. There’s also a handy grid feature to ensure that everything is in line and organized.
It may be somewhat limited in terms of theme selection, but it’s free.
Canva is a free/pay as you play generator (you can buy stock images for backgrounds or photos right in the program – images cost a dollar).
It uses intuitive controls such as drag-and-drop, so adding, removing, and editing elements on your canvas is very easy.
There are helpful video tutorials It also provides a wide range of size dimensions for design, including Facebook cover and Kindle Cover.
Is my personal favourite. There is a free version but it’s worth investing in the Premium one.
It costs $300.00 a year but provides a much broader selection of “Pikto Themes” a high resolution image export, and the ability to switch off the Piktochart Watermark.
It’s very straightforward. You pick a template. You can then change the image size and layout.
Along with their extensive collection of icons, images and graphs you can also upload your own image files.
Color schemes can be varied within the selected theme and background color can also be changed to customize the infographic.
Check it out. You’ll be “infographing” like a pro in no time.
