Brand Story to Watch: Bobs & Lolo

They were best friends as little kids and grew up playing together surrounded by the beauty of Vancouver Island.

Robyn Hardy (Bobs) and Lorraine Pond (LoLo) — aka Bobs & Lolo — may have since grown up, but they are still best friends, still play together — except now they’re surrounded by children.

Most of whom aren’t theirs.

They have a legion of fans:

Bobs & Lolo are the singing duo that kids just can’t get enough of.

Kids know them from their show on Treehouse and from their incredibly popular touring shows.

But that’s not all:

I am so excited that Bobs & Lolo have a brand new book that is available for sale in their store.

And it’s about to get better:

Fans everywhere (including me!) are super excited that Bobs & LoLo have been in the studio and will have a Christmas album out in time for the holidays!

Why we love them:

  • Bob & Lolo opened for the Kratt Brothers, so I got to spend a bit of time with them. They’re awesome, every bit as fun and lovely in person as they are on stage.
  • You have rarely seen two children’s celebrities put in as much personal care to answering fan mail as these two ladies do.
  • Of all the celebrities I’ve encountered in my work, it was Bobs & Lolo that made my nephew’s jaw drop.

The gals have been busy:

They’ve been hard at work in the studio and Robyn just had her first child.  (Lorraine has a three year old daughter and a ten month old son.)

And after 10 years of being self-managed, they recently partnered with Nettwerk Music Group. We can absolutely understand why their website needs a bit of an update.

But all of that that will come when the new Christmas album is released. And we can’t wait!
