Brand Story to Watch: Sole Food

They put up paradise over a paved parking lot.

Food heals:
Sole Food is as much a brave experiment as it is an urban farm in Vancouver.

It employs 20 residents of the Downtown East Side, known for its wrenching poverty.

It supplies 37 of the city’s best restaurants with the freshest ingredients and produces 40 tons of local produce.

But it could do more:
And it needs your help.

Sole Food is launching an Indiegogo Campaign to raise $100,000.

They need the money:
They plan on setting up 2 retail locations that will operate 7 days a week all year round and to grow to 26 permanent jobs.

If they are successful:
They will become the first permanent local organic grower at Granville Island market, one of the best in the world.

  • it works to solve several problems at the same time, making it extremely useful, and not just a good idea
  • the video storytelling is compelling, artful and beautifully crafted.
